Refund Policy

The short version. Nothing auto-renews. The Website AI Assessment ($1,000) is the one thing you can buy here without a signed agreement. Its report runs once your payment is confirmed. That is ordinarily within minutes where checkout confirms it automatically, after we confirm it by hand where it cannot. Cancel any time before the report is generated for a full refund; once it has been delivered it is yours to keep, and if it is defective, or the owner's guaranteed 72-hour Google Business Profile Report never arrives, we re-run it or refund it (Section 5). The in-depth SEO audit has a refund of its own: ask within 7 business days of the day it is sent to you, or of the day after its 21-day deadline if it is late, and we refund the full assessment fee, after which the $1,000 credit toward later work no longer applies (Section 5). You can pay it in full, in installments if PayPal offers and approves you, or as two payments of $500 with the assessment starting once both are in (Section 5.1). The 90-Day Evaluation, the Foundation and Signature Builds, and the Done-For-You project are written-agreement engagements, and each agreement states its own refund and payment terms. Every subscription has a 30-day money-back guarantee on its first paid month: the Meridian Local Domination plan ($297 a month), the Meridian One Page plan ($59 a month) and the subscriptions we still service for earlier customers, with prorated cancellation after that (Section 1). No silent renewals, ever. If you have a problem we caused, we make it right. This policy is published in English, Spanish and French; if the versions differ, the English version controls.

1. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee (every subscription)

This section governs every subscription Meridian sells or services: the Meridian Local Domination plan ($297 a month, with a one-time onboarding fee of $500 that is waived on annual billing), the Meridian One Page plan ($59 a month, with a one-time setup fee of $197 that is waived on annual billing), and the subscriptions started before 08.28.2026 that we still service. A subscription started before 15.10.2026 under the earlier 7-day guarantee keeps the 30 days too; the window is only ever wider than what you signed up for.

If you are not satisfied with Meridian for any reason within the first 30 days of your first paid invoice, you can request a full refund of your monthly subscription fee. No questions asked. No exit survey. No reason required.

How it works:

The 30-day guarantee applies to your FIRST paid month only, and it refunds the monthly subscription fee. After 30 days, the prorated cancellation policy below applies to the monthly fee. The setup fee is separately refundable within 14 days of being charged; after that window it becomes non-refundable, having covered work already performed.

2. Trial Period (grandfathered subscriptions)

Where a promotional trial was offered, the code TEST DRIVE at sign-up activated a 14-day trial at no charge. You are not charged during the trial and may cancel at any time before it ends with no charge.

We send a reminder email three days before your trial converts to a paid subscription. If you do nothing, your card is charged for the plan you selected on day fifteen.

Self-serve trial sign-up is paused. The plans we sell today, the Meridian Local Domination plan and the Meridian One Page plan, have no trial: they start with your first paid invoice, and Section 1 applies from that day. For anything else, email info@meridianseo.ai or use the contact form. This section governs any account still on an active trial today.

3. Monthly Subscriptions: Mid-Cycle Cancellation

You may cancel a monthly subscription at any time from your dashboard or by emailing info@meridianseo.ai. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period by default, and you retain access to the Service through that date.

Prorated refund option. If you prefer to cancel immediately, we will refund the unused portion of your current billing period, prorated to the day. Example: you paid $300 on the 1st for a 30-day billing cycle, you cancel on the 11th, leaving 20 unused days, so we refund 20/30 of $300, exactly $200.

This is a feature we genuinely offer, not a fight. Refunds are processed within five business days to your original payment method.

Annual billing was offered on the now-retired Premium Founding plan only, at a ten percent (10%) discount versus paying monthly; existing annual subscribers keep these terms. If you cancel an annual subscription:

5. Website AI Assessment

The Website AI Assessment is a $1,000 productized deliverable in four parts: an automated report, produced by an automated system and delivered at a private report link; a Revenue Leak Report built from the public Google reviews of your business, generated automatically and included in that same report at no extra wait; a Google Business Profile Report, prepared by Meridian's owner within a guaranteed 72 hours of your report being delivered and sent to the email address on your order; and an in-depth SEO audit, made up of keyword research for your business, a comparison with up to three competitors you name on the order form, a technical SEO review and a gap analysis, prepared by hand by Meridian's owner, with AI tools assisting, and sent to the email address on your order within 21 days of the day your report is delivered (calendar days); it may also include a short walkthrough video of the critical areas of your website, in which the owner explains them in plain words, sent with the audit as a file or a private link, though a video is possible and not promised. Its scope is stated on the page where it is purchased, and the automated report is disclosed there, before you pay, as 100% AI-generated. It is the one purchase on this site that does not require a signed agreement, so this section is what governs it.

When the report runs. The report is generated only after your payment is confirmed. Where our checkout confirms a payment automatically, the report starts straight away and is ordinarily ready within minutes. Where it cannot, as with a payment made through a PayPal payment link or an invoice, including the two-payment split in Section 5.1, Meridian matches the payment to your order by hand and then starts the report, which is ordinarily ready within minutes of starting. That matching is done by a person, so it is not instant, and this policy does not promise a time for it; until your report has been generated you may cancel for a full refund, as set out below. The 72 hours for the Google Business Profile Report run from when your report is delivered. The 21 days for the in-depth SEO audit also run from the day your report is delivered; they are separate from the 72 hours, and the refund window for the audit is set out below. An assessment paid for before 09.30.2026 keeps the 48 hours it was sold with.

A monthly limit. We limit the number of assessments we take each calendar month, currently 20 (Terms of Service, Section 2). The limit is checked when you send the order form, against the payments we have confirmed so far that month, so orders already under way are still taken and a month can end above it. When a month is full, sending the order form puts you on a waitlist instead of taking you to checkout. A place on the waitlist is not a purchase and nothing is charged for it, so there is nothing to refund; an assessment you have already paid for is never moved to the waitlist.

A follow-up call is available after the reports for anything they do not settle; it is included and carries no separate charge.

5.1 How you can pay for it

The assessment is $1,000 however you pay, at the Founders price described in Section 4 of the Terms of Service. There is no surcharge for spreading it and no discount for paying at once.

6. Written Service Agreements Control Where They Differ

Clients on a signed written services agreement follow the refund and payment terms stated in that agreement wherever they differ from this general policy; the signed agreement controls. This applies to the Done-For-You project, the 90-Day Evaluation, the Foundation Build and the Signature Build, the Signature Brand Film and video production, the Harlem one-page website, and any legacy Custom Build, Growth, Authority, or Portfolio contract. For example, the Done-For-You project fee is paid on the schedule stated in the accepted proposal, with a meaningful portion withheld until launch approval and each installment non-refundable once work on it begins; the 90-Day Evaluation bills monthly inside a fixed 90-day term and never auto-renews; the Foundation Build and the Signature Build are each paid half at signing and half at launch approval. The 90-Day Evaluation and both builds may instead be paid on a payment plan the client chooses, with the full fee due within 10 months of signing; an installment already paid for work performed is not refundable. The Website AI Assessment is not one of these engagements; it has no agreement and is governed by Section 5 above. Creative work you hire us for through a freelance marketplace (today, Upwork) is not one of them either: it runs under that marketplace's contract, and refunds and disputes on it go through the marketplace's own process. If you signed a written agreement and are unsure which terms apply, email info@meridianseo.ai and reference your agreement.

7. What Is Not Refundable

8. Failed Payments

If a recurring payment fails:

  1. We retry up to three times over seven days and email you each time
  2. Your website stays live through the period you have already paid for, or for up to thirty days after the failed payment; after that we may pause it (it returns a 404) until payment resumes
  3. Pausing deletes nothing. Your website, content and data are kept for at least ninety days after the pause
  4. Update your payment method during that time to restore service and republish your sites; no fee applies
  5. After ninety days unpaid we may archive and then delete the account's content and data, and we email you at least fourteen days before we do

9. Service Availability

We work to keep the dashboard and the websites we host available. We give no uptime figure, and we do not offer credits or refunds for downtime as such. Scheduled maintenance, outages at third parties (our hosting and network providers, our card processor, PayPal) and problems with your own DNS or connection are outside our control. If you think an outage meant you did not receive what you paid for, email info@meridianseo.ai and tell us; we will read it and reply. Section 13 still applies.

10. Refunds for Content Moderation Actions

If your account is suspended or terminated because your use of the Service violated our prohibited uses (cannabis, alcohol retail, sex shops, firearms, etc.), no refund is issued. If termination was in error, contact us within thirty days and we will reinstate your account and process a refund where appropriate.

11. Chargebacks and Disputes

Please email us at info@meridianseo.ai before filing a chargeback. We typically resolve billing issues within one business day. Filing a chargeback before contacting us may result in your account being suspended until the dispute is resolved.

12. How to Request a Refund

You don't need to fill out a form or wait on hold. Two options:

  1. From your dashboard: Billing → Cancel subscription stops the billing at once; then email us (below) and we issue the refund this policy provides
  2. Email info@meridianseo.ai with the subject line "Refund request" and your account email

Refunds are typically processed within five business days. The time it takes to appear in your account depends on your payment method and bank.

13. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you have under consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction. If you are in the EU, UK, or another region with statutory withdrawal rights for distance contracts, those rights apply and may exceed what this policy offers.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes apply prospectively to new purchases, subscription periods and trials beginning after the effective date. Existing refund entitlements you have already accrued are not reduced by changes. This policy is published in English, Spanish and French; if the versions differ, the English version controls.
