Refund Policy

The short version. 30-day money-back guarantee — full refund, any reason, no questions asked. After 30 days, cancel any time in one click and we prorate refunds to the day. Trials are free. No silent renewals. If you have a problem we caused, we make it right.
1. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with Meridian for any reason within the first 30 days of your first paid invoice, you can request a full refund — covering both the monthly subscription fee AND the one-time setup fee. No questions asked. No exit survey. No reason required.
How it works:
- The 30 days starts on the date of your first paid invoice (not the day you signed up for the trial).
- The refund covers your monthly subscription fee AND the one-time setup fee ($99–$999 depending on plan).
- Combined with the 14-day TEST DRIVE free trial, this gives you up to 44 days of no-risk evaluation.
- Email info@meridianseo.ai with the subject "Money-back guarantee" — or use the one-click "Cancel and refund" button in your dashboard.
- We process the full refund within 5 business days back to your original payment method.
- Your generated websites stay live for 30 days after refund in case you want to switch your mind back; after that, they're permanently deleted.
The 30-day guarantee applies to your FIRST paid month only. After 30 days, the prorated cancellation policy below applies to the monthly fee. The setup fee, having covered work already performed, becomes non-refundable after the 30-day window.
2. Free Trial
Use the promotional code TEST DRIVE at sign-up to activate a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial. You may cancel at any time before the trial ends with no charge.
We send a reminder email three days before your trial converts to a paid subscription. If you do nothing, your card is charged for the plan you selected on day fifteen.
3. Monthly Subscriptions — Mid-Cycle Cancellation
You may cancel a monthly subscription at any time from your dashboard or by emailing info@meridianseo.ai. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period by default, and you retain access to the Service through that date.
Prorated refund option. If you prefer to cancel immediately, we will refund the unused portion of your current billing period, prorated to the day. Example: you paid $39.97 on the 1st, you cancel on the 11th — we refund 20/30 of $39.97, approximately $26.65.
This is a feature we genuinely offer, not a fight. Refunds are processed within five business days to your original payment method.
4. Annual Subscriptions
Annual subscriptions are discounted twenty percent versus monthly. If you cancel an annual subscription:
- Within the first thirty days: full refund, no questions asked
- Days 31-90: prorated refund minus a $20 administrative fee
- After day 90: no refund; access continues until the annual term ends
5. Agency Pro and Agency Enterprise
Agency tier subscriptions follow the same monthly or annual refund schedule above, with one addition: Agency Enterprise customers on a written contract may negotiate alternate refund terms in that contract, which control over this policy.
6. What Is Not Refundable
- Third-party charges incurred on your BYOK API keys. When you use Bring-Your-Own-Key features (blog generation, voice-to-site iteration, conversion forensics), those API calls run on your account with the third-party provider (e.g., OpenAI). We never see or refund those charges — they are between you and your provider
- Custom domain registration fees if you registered the domain through a third party or through our optional registrar integration
- One-time professional service fees (e.g., custom section development on Empire+, dedicated onboarding on Agency Enterprise) once delivery has begun
- Charges incurred before a fraud or chargeback is opened in bad faith. If a chargeback is reversed in our favor, the original charge stands
7. Failed Payments
If a recurring payment fails:
- We retry up to three times over seven days and email you each time
- On the eighth day, your generated websites may be unpublished (returned to a 404 state) automatically
- Your project data is preserved for thirty days from the failed payment date
- Update your payment method within those thirty days to restore service and republish your sites; no fee applies
- After thirty days of non-payment, project data may be deleted permanently
8. Service Disruption Credits
If our Service is unavailable beyond our published uptime commitments (99.9% monthly for the dashboard; 99.95% for hosted sites), you may request a credit:
- Up to 4 hours of qualifying downtime in a month: 10% credit toward next month
- 4-12 hours: 25% credit
- Over 12 hours: 50% credit
Credits are issued automatically where possible and on request otherwise. Credits do not apply to scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (Vercel, Cloudflare, Stripe, PayPal), or downtime caused by your own DNS or upstream connectivity.
9. Refunds for Content Moderation Actions
If your account is suspended or terminated because your use of the Service violated our prohibited uses (cannabis, alcohol retail, sex shops, firearms, etc.), no refund is issued. If termination was in error, contact us within thirty days and we will reinstate your account and process a refund where appropriate.
10. Chargebacks and Disputes
Please email us at info@meridianseo.ai before filing a chargeback. We typically resolve billing issues within one business day. Filing a chargeback before contacting us may result in your account being suspended until the dispute is resolved.
11. How to Request a Refund
You don't need to fill out a form or wait on hold. Two options:
- From your dashboard: Settings → Billing → Cancel and refund — one click, the system handles it
- Email info@meridianseo.ai with the subject line "Refund request" and your account email
Refunds are typically processed within five business days. The time it takes to appear in your account depends on your payment method and bank.
12. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you have under consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction. If you are in the EU, UK, or another region with statutory withdrawal rights for distance contracts, those rights apply and may exceed what this policy offers.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes apply prospectively to new subscription periods and trials beginning after the effective date. Existing refund entitlements you have already accrued are not reduced by changes.
